Thinking for a Change (T4C) Skill Reinforcement Manual

Description

Manual Includes:

  • 36 pages, 8" x 10"
  • 25 lessons

The Thinking for a Change (T4C) Skill Reinforcement Manual is for staff working with clients involved in the T4C program (version 3.1). It is not intended as an aid for those facilitating T4C groups.

Staff can help people integrate the concepts and skills they learn in T4C by practicing prosocial skills together, reinforcing these skills when they are observed, and encouraging their use when they are not.  To do so, staff need to know what people are learning in T4C week by week. This manual provides an overview of the 25 lessons contained in version 3.1 of the T4C curriculum. The lessons are presented in sequence to correspond to the T4C learning modules. Each lesson in this manual describes a key concept related to cognitive self-change, social skills development, or problem solving, which are at the core of T4C; prepares people for their next T4C lesson; offers tips on ways staff can promote people’s skill development; and lists questions staff can use to debrief each lesson.
