Tools on Devices Demo Video

Tools on Devices (TOD) is an interactive system that allows staff to assign fillable versions of the Carey Guide tools, BITS, and Driver Workbook to their clients. Clients receive email and/or text message notifications of the tools assignments and complete and submit them from their smartphones, tablets, or personal computers.

With TOD, staff can also access the complete Carey eGuides (information for staff and printable tools for clients) as well as the eBITS, and they can print out the Driver Workbook.  

In addition, TOD includes the Tool Navigator to help staff determine—in three clicks—what tools would most benefit each client, and the Dosage Meter, which tracks the amount of dosage, or programming, that people receive when completing Carey Group tools or other activities.

TOD Features

For staff

• Staff electronically assign Carey Group tools to individuals or groups and designate an assignment due date.
• A dashboard displays assigned tools that are pending review, pending completion, not started, and past due.
• Automatic assignment reminders are sent to clients two days before the due date. Staff can also manually send reminders to clients. 
• Staff manage and view each client on individual client pages. Client pages display a client’s assignment history as well as their contact information.
• Staff can designate their clients’ communication preferences (e.g., email, text message).
• Staff can send up to 250 text messages per month.

For clients

• Clients access, complete, and submit assigned Carey Group tools from their smartphones, tablets, and personal computers; tools are presented as “fillable forms” on these devices.
• Clients receive text/email messages notifying them of new assignments or reminding them of outstanding assignments.
• As clients work on assignments, their work is automatically saved. If they cannot complete an assignment in one sitting, they can save their work and complete it at a later time.
• A client dashboard displays new assignments, started assignments, and completed assignments.
• Clients have access to their completed work for a minimum of six months.

For agency administrators

• An agency administrator dashboard displays assigned tools pending completion and agency usage statistics.
• Agency administrators can run reports on their agency’s usage of TOD and client assignment completion rate.
• Agency administrators can view and manage all clients within their agency who have TOD accounts.
• Agency administrators can see which criminogenic needs are addressed the most/least frequently based on Guides and BITS usage.

TOD Options

• The fillable Carey Guides and BITS are available for use on secure tablets in facilities. All TOD features are available with the exception of communication via text and emails. Contact us for further information and pricing.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR TOD PURCHASERS:

• The cost of an initial (one-year) subscription is $995. After the first year, an annual subscription renewal of $325 is required. Volume discounts are available.  
• TOD subscriptions can be transferred from one staff person to another, within the same agency, as staffing patterns dictate. TOD subscriptions cannot be shared; each subscription is assigned to one staff member until such time as that subscription is transferred to another staff member. Sharing TOD subscriptions is a copyright violation.
• Users of the English and Spanish Carey eGuides, which are included in TOD, can view the full Guides or just the tools with and without instructions; print out the instructions for themselves; and print out the tools for clients.
• To use TOD, your browser must allow JavaScript and cookies.
• Google Chrome is the recommended browser for TOD.
